1) Promoting the Arts

Educating, performing, engaging and promoting the arts in all its forms. From Drama and Dance, to Music, Concerts, Theatre or Opera, Static Art or the Written Word; allowing it to be enjoyed, expressed and experienced.

2) Developing Individuals

Lives are not just of great worth, they are priceless. We see people develop across the board; not just learning skills, but learning about themselves, changing lives and families through those lives. Users, class-members, interns, staff or volunteers, we want to see all grow and develop.

3) Engaging in Community

We treat our local community as anyone who is close enough to walk in here! We’re passionate about seeing relationships and connections grow. We’re here to serve, and we want to do that in as many helpful and encouraging ways as possible, to engage with real problems in a tangible way.

Aims & Ethos

The Gate is a registered charity and aims to include and welcome all regardless of age, disability, ethnicity or gender. Whilst its ethos is Christian, The Gate is committed to working with people of all faiths and none.
