Volunteer
The Gate is committed to supporting the local community, and along with its partners has many opportunities for individuals to volunteer and make a difference.
If you would like to know more about volunteering with us please contact Julia Forrester on 029 2048 3344 or email info@thegate.org.uk
As well as having volunteering opportunities at The Gate which include for instance: Stewarding /Reception/Admin and Technical & PA; we also have close links to other local community projects and charities.
Under these partnerships we can also offer volunteering opportunities working with children and youth, the elderly, the homeless and young mothers to name a few.
Please note that any volunteer who will be working with any of our vulnerable people groups, such as children or the homeless, will be subject to a CRB check before they can start volunteering. We will organise and pay for all CRB checks. Also, your character and attitude should be consistent with our core values of Grace, Integrity, Creativity, Quality, Humour, Valuing every Individual and Servant Heartedness.
THERE ARE MANY BENEFITS TO VOLUNTEERING WITH US:
- You will have the opportunity to’ give back’ to the community
- You will gain and develop skills and expertise in a supportive environment
- You will gain friends with common interests
- You will gain an excellent reference source
